Action Items are private workspaces. Only people that you invite can see your Action Item.
You form your team by inviting others - once they accept, they become part of the team. From there, all members of your team can share ideas, documents, and tasks.
ActionItem works from commitment-based Assignments - we've found that most (or all) of the people we work with have plenty to do. Assigning them work and expecting it to get done just doesn't work. But when you invite them to your team - then ask them to be a part of your project and accept a task - you will get a higher level of commitment and success.
Our assignment-based model does just that: every action that involves a person sharing work with another is a request. You invite people to your Action Item and then request that they take on Tasks within the Action Item.
